The governing body guesses that there are three. Roughly 1/2 these pregnancies took place as the couple didn't use any contraception, and the other half occurred as the couple used contraception wrongly. Behavioral strategies don't need any use of prescription or over the counter drugs. Another behavioral method--periodic avoidance ( on occasion called fertility awareness ) --relies on physical signs inside a lady related to her hormonal changes to stop pregnancy. A lady avoids intercourse on those days on which she is most fruitful. Barrier strategies supply a physical barrier between the sperm and the egg. An IUD could be removed at any point and the process is faster and simpler than the insertion. Fertility is generally revived reasonably quickly once the IUD has been removed. Is Censorship a Grimy Word?
On the shelves of the children's section of your local library or Waterstone's you will find books with characters who are child molesters, compulsive gamblers, and drug users. But by reading a good variety of books with our kids and then using those books as launching points for talks, we have a chance to show our children the right way to approach books with a skeptical eye. For instance, reading Deborah Ellis' novel, Bread-winner , ( which examines 6th grader, Parvana's experiences as a girl living under Taliban rule in Afghanistan ) is a good way to launch dialogues on sex relations, fundamentalism, or non-democratic kinds of regime. If a girl is active sexually and she's fruitful ( able to get pregnant ) she must ask herself, "do I want to get pregnant now? " If the answer's "No, " she must use some type of contraception ( contraception ). Active sexually folks have a good spread of strategies that might be used to reduce the likelihood of pregnancy.
